The University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) seeks a Workforce Enrollment Specialist to guide prospective learners through admissions and enrollment pathways. This fully remote role interfaces with Admissions, Advisors, and Student Support to ensure a high-quality learner transition.

The position emphasizes strong communication, organization, and tech literacy, with the ability to manage multiple projects and advocate for training needs during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; candidates with an associate's degree combined with related experience in admissions, tutoring, counseling, customer service, or sales will be considered.
• Knowledge and Skills: Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to relate to a diverse pool of prospective students with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
• Outgoing, positive manner with the ability to connect with, motivate, and inspire people.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Gmail. Proven experience working in multiple platforms simultaneously and utilizing communication technology (e.g., Zoom).
• Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail to ensure accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Aptitude for anticipating applicant needs. Perseverance and ability to look at all details and resources available in order to support students through the application process.
• Flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to advocate for your own training needs in order to meet all requirements of the position within the timeline outlined during onboarding.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary point of contact for non-degree, certificate, and degree pathways.
• Guide students through admissions and enrollment processes and coordinate with academic and student services teams for a smooth transition.
• Support prospective learners remotely with a proactive, student-centered approach and flexible scheduling during peak periods.
