Job summary

Lean Focus LLC is seeking a Director of Continuous Improvement to lead Lean transformation in the Miami area, with 75–100% travel and remote work options. The role demands extensive Lean experience in logistics, warehousing, and distribution, and capability to train leaders on CI and Kaizen.

The successful candidate will partner with the Chief Transformation Officer to deploy Lean tools, mentor teams, and guide safety, quality and efficiency improvements across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience leading cultural change to a Lean environment.
• Experience across logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
• Proven Lean tools experience: Strategy Deployment, VSM, KPI development, 5S, Standard Work, FMEA, Kanban, Visual Daily Management.
• Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Lean fundamentals and training across company locations.
• Create a problem solving culture and develop subject matter experts.
• Develop Lean/CI competences in site-level leadership and other key employees.
• Align Lean transformation roadmap with corporate strategy and site leadership.
• Utilize CI tools to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and reduce waste.
• Lead and coach CI / Kaizen events through hands-on participation.
• Use SMED and material flow to optimize facility layouts and warehouses.
• Develop training materials and deliver them in a team environment.
• Use data to identify gaps in performance and coordinate with Lean Focus to execute improvements.
• Understand and apply KPIs and financial drivers.
• Document best practices and share improvements across regions.
• Support leadership on CI initiatives.
