Job summary

Lithium Americas is seeking a Senior Director of Commercial and Market Intelligence to lead the management and commercial positioning of Lithium Americas’ product portfolio as the Company transitions from construction to production and revenue generation.

You will work closely with customers, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams to align market opportunities, product strategy, customer requirements, and long-term business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Economics or related field required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive commercial, market intelligence or strategic marketing experience in lithium or related industries.
• Experience launching product brands and go-to-market strategies in specialty chemicals or lithium markets.
• Experience with lithium carbonate market and related lithium chemicals.
• Strong ability to align stakeholders and translate market data into strategy and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies, processes and systems to strengthen customer relationships and long-term value.
• Act as primary commercial interface with customers and manage terms to meet long-term objectives.
• Develop regional and market strategies using customer insights and trends.
• Lead negotiation and management of commercial agreements.
• Monitor lithium markets, pricing dynamics and competitive positioning.
• Provide market intelligence to support strategy, investment priorities and product development.
• Support organic and inorganic growth through market insights and business cases.
• Lead product stewardship initiatives and ensure lifecycle management compliance.
• Develop pricing analyses, customer segmentation and performance metrics.
• Identify new market opportunities, partnerships and business models.
