Leidos seeks a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to manage a senior team on electric transmission design projects from 34.5 kV to 500 kV. You will guide staff, direct PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE analyses, and coordinate scopes, budgets, and schedules with PMO support.

The role emphasizes client relations, staff development, and proposal execution within a fast-paced environment. 100% remote in the U.S., Mountain time preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; Civil preferred.
• 8+ years in electric utility transmission design, or 6+ years with a Master’s.
• Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Team collaboration and ability to work independently.
• Strong written and oral communication for client contacts.
• Business acumen with trackable project metrics.
• Onsite work at Leidos or client offices possible; some travel.
• Ability to mentor staff and develop junior engineers.

Responsabilités

• Direct multiple design teams on transmission line projects for utilities.
• Develop and coach a team of engineers; conduct performance reviews.
• Lead proposal responses, scopes, and new business capture.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets with PMO support.
• Drive quality control across deliverables and processes.
• Foster client relationships and business development.
• Forecast workload and support aggressive growth goals.
• Ensure alignment with safety, standards, and design codes.
