Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; Civil preferred.
• 8+ years of experience designing electric utility transmission systems (Bachelor) or 6+ years with a Master's.
• Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Strong communication skills as primary client contact.
• Business acumen with track record of meeting project metrics.
• Onsite work at Leidos or client offices possible; some travel may be required.
• Ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct multiple design teams on projects for several clients.
• Develop and coach a team of engineers; foster talent.
• Supervise staff with timesheets and performance reviews.
• Lead leadership team within the Transmission Line Section.
• Prepare proposals, define scope, and respond to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs.
• Foster growth mindset and creative problem solving for clients.
• Improve processes and tools through innovation and automation.
• Delegate tasks, forecast workload, and recruit for growth.
• Oversee quality control to ensure high-deliverable quality.
• Liaise with clients to strengthen relationships and business growth.
• Manage project portfolio health with scope, schedule, and budget tracking.
