Job summary

Pencil is seeking a senior Technical Program Manager to independently own a portfolio of large, cross-team programs including platform releases, migrations and engineering commitments for Tier 1 clients. Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in AI/ML, platform infrastructure, or developer tooling.
• Genuine technical fluency: comfortable reading system architectures and APIs; able to translate engineering reality for stakeholders.
• Structured thinker who writes clear documents and maintains rigor in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the program for Tier 1 client engineering requests: intake, scoping, sequencing, delivery tracking.
• Design and run operating cadence for the engineering organisation and TPM function.
• Manage workback plans and dependency maps for releases, integrations and cross-team work.
• Lead cross-team program delivery including feature launches, client integrations and technical migrations.
• Provide escalation support, risk assessment, and decision support; produce weekly status updates.
