Job summary

Ideal candidates will have a California PE and strong proficiency with structural software (RISA, STAAD, SAP2000) and AutoCAD/MicroStation, plus familiarity with ASCE/AISC/ACI/IBC standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil-Structural Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 5+ years.
• PE License in California required; SE license preferred.
• Strong client management and business communication experience.
• Experience in electric utility substation structure design.
• Proficient with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint & Mathcad.
• Familiar with codes: ASCE, AISC, ACI, IBC; knowledge of industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews for substation civil/structural components.
• Develop junior staff and mentor project teams.
• Perform site visits to client substations and coordinate travel.
• Ensure compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage client relationships and expectations across multiple projects.
