Leidos Engineering is seeking a Lead Substation Structural Engineer with a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering and 8+ years of structural design experience.

The role focuses on leading project reviews, developing junior staff, and ensuring code-compliant designs for substation structures with seismic considerations. Remote, ideally CA-based, with potential site visits and occasional travel to client meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelors in Civil/Structural Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 5+ years.
PE License in California required; SE license preferred.
Experience with design and review for structures and foundations under seismic loading.
Strong client management and ability to build relationships while managing expectations.

Responsibilities

Lead project design reviews for substation civil/structural components.
Develop junior staff and mentor team members on engineering tasks.
Perform and review design for steel, concrete structures, foundations, and seismic analysis.
Coordinate with clients to develop bid/construction packages and ensure schedule adherence.
