Job summary

ICF Power Delivery Services in Puerto Rico is seeking an experienced Substation Physical Engineer to lead the design and execution of high-voltage substation projects (69kV to 500kV). This fully remote role allows you to work from your home office in Puerto Rico while delivering high-quality engineering for utility clients.

The ideal candidate will have PE licensure or ability to obtain, 8+ years in substation physical design, and strong mentoring skills to guide junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (focus in power systems preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in substation physical design for electric utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the design and preparation of substation physical design drawings (One Line, Three Line, General Arrangements).
• Coordinate with protection & controls, civil/structural, and drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.
• Develop BOM based on design criteria and ensure QA/QC processes are followed.
