Job summary

INTEGRA in Puerto Rico is seeking an Electrical Design Manager to lead power systems design in San Juan. The successful candidate will work with senior engineers and clients to deliver substation, transmission, and distribution projects.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s in EE, and strong leadership and communication skills in English/Spanish. This position involves site visits, travel, and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
PE license required; authorized to practice in Puerto Rico.
Experience leading design teams for electrical power systems.
Fluent Spanish/English preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of substation, transmission, and distribution electrical systems.
Guide a team of electrical and civil engineers through the design process.
Prepare project documentation, drawings, specs, and reports.
Monitor cost and labor, identify cost-saving opportunities.
Coordinate with management and other disciplines for successful delivery.
Ensure compliance with LUMA, PREPA, NEC, ANSI, NEMA, and NFP.
Travel to project sites and meetings.
Attend meetings and interact with clients.
Interact with clients and consultants to advance projects.
