Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Software Architect to define technical strategy, establish architectural standards, and guide distributed engineering teams in building scalable, observable, and secure cloud-native systems.

You will mentor engineers, drive high-level design decisions, evaluate new technologies, and ensure architectural integrity across projects in a fully remote, global team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in architecture or senior technical leadership.
• Proven track record designing large-scale, distributed, high-availability systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and document the overall architectural strategy for new and existing systems.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams, guiding architectural decisions and best practices.
• Collaborate with product and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance the technology stack and development processes.
• Oversee implementation of architectural designs ensuring alignment with goals.
