Job summary

Bowman seeks a Planner III to join our team remotely. You will lead planning for residential, commercial, and public land development projects, preparing plans, feasibility studies, and permit submittals.

Responsibilities include research zoning codes, developing constraint maps, and presenting findings at public meetings. Candidates need 5+ years of planning experience, AICP/ALA certification, and license. Strong client development skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of planning or similarly relevant experience in the land development industry.
• AICP or ALA certification and licensed registered professional or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or 3D modeling programs, Adobe suite, SketchUp, or ArcGIS is strongly preferred.
• Experience reading construction plans.
• Must hold a valid state driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual plans and land planning for various projects.
• Prepare site feasibility studies and reports.
• Prepare submittal documents to obtain permits and approvals.
• Research zoning codes and agency requirements to apply design considerations.
• Compile and assimilate reports and records for documentation.
• Prepare graphic presentations and materials for public meetings.
• Perform site plan reviews for compliance with criteria.
