Bowman is hiring an Environmental Scientist III to join our team remotely. You will lead environmental projects in the land development sector, conduct field assessments, and prepare plans and reports, while coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies.

This role emphasizes wetland delineation, data analysis, and strong communication across teams. The position supports business development, requires 5+ years in the field, and prefers a PWS or related certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or related field is required at time of employment.
• Master's degree strongly preferred.
• Wetland/water delineation experience
• Registered Professional in Wetland Science (PWS) preferred and/or other applicable certification
• Five or more years of relevant industry experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS software (ArcGIS/AutoCAD)
• Valid state driver's license and ability to pass driving check

Responsibilities

• Lead complex environmental projects including land development tasks.
• Conduct field assessments and site investigations in various weather conditions.
• Prepare designs, specifications, plans, estimates and reports for projects.
• Manage project budgets, scope, and schedules, including bid summaries.
• Maintain client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Prepare proposals and manage project delivery and profitability.
• Compile and analyze data from field work and produce maps using GIS/AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with clients, staff, and regulatory agencies to reach project goals.
