Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is hiring a Lead Physician for its Virtual Health Assessment team. The role leads a multidisciplinary telemedicine group, supervising NP/PA staff and guiding clinical guidelines.

The position requires Florida license plus multiple state licenses and a strong residency in primary care. The Lead Physician will report to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment and work remotely with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an ACGME-accredited medical school.
• Completion of medical residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in required states.
• ABMS board certification or equivalent training.
• 5+ years of primary care or urgent care experience.
• Unrestricted license to practice in GA, TX, FL or IMLCC.
• Experience supervising NP/PA teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct high-quality telemedicine care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care virtually.
• Serve as clinical escalation point for the care delivery team.
• Support development of clinical guidelines and care-model improvements.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and state supervisory requirements.
• Ensure a culture of patient safety and high-quality care.
• Lead growth and development of your team and manage underperformance.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
