Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in healthcare billing or patient accounts is required.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a billing or accounts receivable department.
• Experience with HIPAA and billing/compliance regulations.
• Hands-on experience with patient billing software and electronic health records (EHR).

Responsabilités

• Supervise the patient accounting operations to ensure timely, accurate billing and cash management.
• Manage within budget and staffing levels.
• Identify training needs and coordinate with the training department.
• Lead improvements to billing systems and collection techniques.
• Ensure compliance with billing regulations and HIPAA guidelines.
• Coordinate with providers, departments, and payors to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain department policies and performance standards.
• Handle HR responsibilities including performance reviews and hiring decisions.
• Ensure adherence to Advocate Health Code of Ethical Conduct.
