Job summary

EverOps is seeking a Lead Observability Engineer to drive a two‑month maturity assessment and eventual migration to an AWS‑native observability stack. You will lead a U.S.-based TechPod, set technical direction, and stay hands-on across metrics, logs, and traces at large scale.

You will validate telemetry, build cost models, and design policy-driven retention while guiding dashboards, alerts, and data transforms to reduce cost and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in SRE, DevOps, Observability, or Platform Engineering, incl. 4+ years owning production observability platforms and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Observability Maturity Assessment and create a migration plan to AWS-native observability services.
• Design target architecture across collection, pipeline, storage, and dashboards.
• Own cost modeling, data retention policies, and ownership tagging.
• Lead a TechPod as Pod Leader, guiding engineering leadership and delivering hands-on work.
