Job summary

Nebius is seeking a Data Center Design Lead to drive end-to-end data center design for a remote US-first team. You will lead electrical, mechanical, and architectural DC design, supervise internal engineers and external partners, and ensure designs meet Nebius standards and regulatory requirements.

You will shape power and cooling strategies for high-density GPU-ready facilities, coordinate with network and operations, and push for scalable, sustainable infrastructure across sites.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of data center design experience.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, and architectural DC design.
• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture (or equivalent).
• Proven leadership of design teams.
• Strong communication with construction, operations, and external partners.
• Experience with high-density data centers (air and liquid cooling).

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design process for new data center builds and expansions.
• Translate requirements into facility design specs (power, cooling, network, floor space).
• Define high-density power and UPS configuration requirements.
• Lead cooling design trade-offs (air, liquid, immersion) for GPU clusters.
• Coordinate with MEP engineers and consultants for detailed designs.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and local codes.
• Coordinate with project managers and contractors during build phases.
• Develop playbooks and templates for repeatable deployments.
• Benchmark PUE/WUE and reliability across sites.
