Job summary

Nebius is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the design, review, and development of electrical infrastructure for data centers, spanning low to high voltage systems.

This role requires hands-on data center design experience and the ability to coordinate with partners to ensure designs meet operational and regulatory requirements. Travel is on-site at data centers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with electrical systems in large-scale data centers or similar infrastructure.
• PE license or ability to obtain one within 2 years.
• Experience designing, operating, commissioning, or maintaining electrical distribution systems.
• Strong knowledge of UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers and PD equipment.
• Understanding of medium- and high-voltage systems and protection schemes.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Ability to manage internal stakeholders, consultants, vendors and outsourced teams.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 and UL requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical design packages for data center projects, including internal concepts and third-party designs.
• Develop electrical design concepts for high-density data center environments.
• Evaluate UPS, LV, MV, and HV electrical infrastructure.
• Review cable distribution, electrical pathways, and data hall layouts.
• Coordinate with mechanical, construction, commissioning, and operations stakeholders.
• Assess designs for concurrently maintainable data center operations and high power density environments.
• Identify alternative design solutions and tradeoffs.
