Job summary

Ad Hoc is seeking a Lead Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack to lead an engineering team on the Library of Congress project. You will design, build, and integrate enterprise systems across AWS, Terraform, and a mixed Python/Django and Java stack.

The role blends hands-on development with architectural leadership, requires coordinating with federal stakeholders, and supports core business hours in ET for a remote team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in information system design and large-scale software development.
• Production Python/Django experience required.
• Java within mixed Python/Java architecture.
• Experience with AWS and Terraform for IaC.
• CI/CD with Jenkins and SonarQube.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architecture guidance for a 3-5 person team.
• Design and own integration layers and versioned API contracts.
• Develop robust full-stack code in Python/Django and Java.
• Build scalable event-driven pipelines using AWS services and Terraform.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage content-addressable storage.
