Job summary

KBR is seeking a highly skilled Lead Manager, Estimating to support program planning, cost analysis, and technical evaluations for government facilities and construction projects. This remote role travels up to 25% and requires strong bottoms-up estimating expertise across electrical, utilities, and facilities operations.

Candidate will develop Basis of Estimates, interpret data trends, and optimize resource planning while ensuring alignment with RFP requirements and KBR estimating processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 15+ years relevant experience, with 10+ years in government facilities or construction estimating.
• Experience interpreting estimating standards and using historical cost data.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed time-to-task labor estimates and full-time equivalency models from published docs and historical data.
• Implement structured estimating methodologies across project leads and craftsmen.
• Justify labor hours, materials, and equipment to meet RFP requirements.
• Plan materials, tools, and equipment for project execution.
• Draft clear SOWs for subcontractors aligning with project requirements.
• Review subcontractor proposals for technical merit, compliance, and cost realism.
• Apply government facilities operations and maintenance knowledge to ensure compliant estimates.
