Job summary

KBR, a leader in science, technology and engineering solutions, seeks a Lead Manager, Estimating to drive bottoms-up labor estimates and BOEs for complex government facilities and construction projects. The role requires deep expertise in facilities ops, maintenance, electrical and utilities, plus strong analytic skills.

The position is remote with up to 25% travel, offering the chance to guide estimating efforts across multiple programs and ensure compliance with RFP requirements and KBR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent professional experience in government facilities or construction estimating may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed time-to-task labor estimates and full-time equivalency models using published estimating documentation and historical data.
• Implement structured estimating methodologies and ensure consistency across project leads and craftsmen.
• Provide clear rationale for all labor hours, materials, and equipment required to meet RFP requirements.
• Develop comprehensive lists of required materials, tools, and equipment to support accurate project execution.
• Draft clear, comprehensive SOWs for subcontractors to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Conduct thorough reviews of subcontractor proposals, assessing technical merit, compliance, and cost realism.
• Apply knowledge of government facilities operations and maintenance, construction, electrical, and utilities to develop estimates compliant with RFPs and best practices.
