Job summary

Blattner is expanding our energy construction leadership into gas power generation. You will lead the preconstruction and estimating efforts for utility-scale GPG projects from the earliest stages through handoff to construction, coordinating with multiple teams and clients to secure competitive bids.

You will mentor staff, improve estimating processes, and help shape the standards for Blattner's GPG business, ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of preconstruction and/or construction estimating experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for utility-scale gas power generation projects from early development through handoff to construction.
• Review project scopes and technical requirements; coordinate bid strategies; ensure estimates are accurate and competitive.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project management, suppliers, subcontractors and clients to evaluate risks and develop winning proposals.
• Oversee bid preparation and contract negotiations; drive seamless transition from preconstruction to project execution; coordinate vendor relationships and project setup activities.
• Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement of estimating processes, systems, and best practices.
