Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Platform Engineering to lead a critical part of the Data Platform team as we scale technology, engineering practices, and client delivery capabilities.

You will guide a high-performing team, translate priorities into credible delivery plans, and partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to build a scalable data foundation that supports Cohere’s growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data/ software engineering or related field including 3+ years in people management.
• Proven track record building and coaching high-performing engineering teams.
• Led cross-functional data initiatives from planning to production with delivery discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Data Platform Engineering team.
• Own execution of complex data initiatives with clear delivery plans, milestones, and owners.
• Establish delivery discipline, manage blockers, dependencies, and capacity constraints.
• Assess architecture and implementation with senior engineering leaders before key decisions.
• Foster cross-functional partnerships to align priorities and communicate status clearly.
• Drive reliability, observability, data quality, and production readiness across platforms.
