Skillable is a fully remote tech company focused on modernizing training across the United States. We are seeking a Lead, Data Engineering to turn data architecture into reliable pipelines while managing a team of five+.

You will own day-to-day execution, drive the enterprise data platform roadmap, and enforce strong data engineering practices. The role emphasizes mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, and building scalable, observable data assets within a remote-first environment.

Competenze

• 10+ years of experience in software/data engineering.
• 2+ years in lead capacity with team leadership.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Boomi/Rivery, and Delta Lake.
• Experience with ETL/ELT design and orchestration.
• Experience in Medallion architecture implementation.

Mansioni

• Manage a data engineering team of five+ people.
• Translate architecture direction into execution plans and backlogs.
• Set standards for maintainability and repeatability.
• Drive day-to-day sprint planning and delivery.
• Implement Medallion architecture across Bronze/Silver/Gold.
• Develop DataOps practices and CI/CD for data assets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape requests into deliverables.
