Deckers Brands, home to HOKA, is seeking a Lead Copywriter to transform product innovation and athlete stories into compelling brand narratives. You will lead narrative development across channels, crafting storytelling that connects runners, hikers, and movers with the brand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 9+ years in an advertising agency or in-house creative environment.
• A strong and varied portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, creative concepting, and storytelling across retail brands and multiple media.
• Expertise in both print and digital marketing and advertising.
• Proven ability to craft persuasive short-form and long-form writing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, art directors, and creative leaders to define narrative and copy direction for campaigns and brand initiatives.
• Brainstorm and present bold creative concepts and storytelling that spark emotion and drive measurable impact.
• Translate strategy and briefs into engaging copy concepts and messaging for runners, hikers, and movers.
• Create stories across digital channels—campaigns, site updates, social media—reflecting HOKA’s voice.
• Develop athlete and product stories that celebrate performance and movement.
