Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Human Services is seeking a Community Engagement and Health Equity Supervisor in St. Paul.

This full-time, day-shift role offers telework eligibility and supports statewide health equity initiatives within the Office of the Medicaid Medical Director. You will lead strategic engagement initiatives, translate policy into community-focused programs, and build partnerships with communities and organizations to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in supervisory roles (e.g., supervisor, team lead, project lead) with accountability.
• Four (4) years designing, leading, or evaluating community engagement strategies.
• Ability to interpret health or human services policy and translate it into actionable guidance for communities.
• Apply an equity lens to policy or program work to reduce barriers for underserved communities.
• Design and lead engagement strategies that bring community input into decisions and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, supervisory, and operational leadership for community engagement and health equity initiatives.
• Translate policy changes into engagement approaches and programs for affected communities.
• Build partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders to inform DHS decision-making.
• Ensure community input is represented in policy development and program delivery.
