Job summary

State of Minnesota, Department of Human Services (DHS) seeks a Medicaid Data Analyst to support statewide data and fiscal analysis within the Financial Operations Division. This hybrid role is based in St.

Paul and leads statistical research and public integrity oversight for Medicaid and related programs. You will build analytics for risk, fraud, and non-compliance detection, develop reporting for stakeholders, and coordinate large-scale data work with counties, tribes, and multistate agencies

Qualifications

• Three years of experience developing and implementing system and data collection objectives, specifications, and methodologies.
• Experience with MMIS/MAXIS/METS/SSIS data systems and data relationships.
• Experience extracting data from data warehousing using SAS or SQL across multiple applications.
• Experience providing data for auditing purposes.
• Experience creating dashboards and reports to synthesize analytic results.
• Knowledge of GAAP and SWIFT (or similar accounting systems).
• Understanding of federal financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve models to identify risk, fraud, and non-compliance in Medicaid.
• Create Tableau dashboards and reports for internal and external partners.
• Lead and coordinate FMAP opportunities with data analysis and presentations to senior management.
• Produce complex data for the annual Human Service Cost Report for DHS/DCYF.
• Coordinate, prioritize, and complete data requests from auditors, media, and other interested parties.
• Support ad hoc data mining and special projects for Financial Operations leadership.
