Job summary

Merck is seeking a Contracts/Clinical Trial Budget professional to manage site agreements, budgets, and related documents in alignment with ICH/GCP and country regulations. You will negotiate, review, and finalize contracts and amendments, ensuring timely execution and compliance across multiple stakeholders.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or higher and 3+ years of negotiating contracts or budgets; a JD is preferred. Travel may be involved while remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• 3+ years of experience in negotiating contracts or budgets
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, negotiate, and execute site agreements and budgets including CTAs, MCTRAs, CDAs, MCDA, IRAG, MFS, FUA, reimbursement letters and amendments.
• Maintain database and files for contracts, approvals, and budgets with uniform naming conventions.
• Coordinate with CRM, CTC, CRA, COM-R, finance and regulatory to deliver Site Ready Deliverables and manage risks.
• Lead relationships with investigational sites and Site Management Organizations across contracting and budgeting interfaces.
• Contribute to local SOP development and train stakeholders as needed.
• Review, negotiate, expedite, and facilitate business approvals for Site Access Forms and EMR access.
• Work with payment coordinators to address contingency approvals and amend agreements as required.
• Influence investigators and external partners to deliver contracts within fair market value.
