Job summary

Merck is seeking a contracts and budgets professional to oversee performance and compliance for assigned clinical trial protocols in the U.S. and territories.

You will negotiate site agreements and budgets, track documents, and coordinate with CRM/CTC/CRA to ensure timely site readiness and regulatory alignment. The role emphasizes strong negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills to deliver fair market value contracts while collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required; 3+ years experience negotiating contracts or budgets.
• JD degree preferred.
• Experience negotiating Clinical Trial related contracts and budgets across all phases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, negotiate, and execute site agreements and budgets including CTRA, MCTRA, CDA, MCDA, IRAG, MFS, FUA, Reimbursement Letters, Amendments and Assignments.
• Maintain database and files for contracts, approvals, budgets with uniform naming and saving conventions.
• Lead and develop relationships with investigational sites and Site Management Organizations across contracting and budgeting interfaces.
• Coordinate with CRM, CTC, CRA, COM-R to deliver Site Ready Deliverables and mitigate risks to meet timelines.
• Contribute to SOP development and knowledge sharing within the COM team.
