Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator for our Civil Construction Business Line. This remote role requires staying in EST or CST and occasional travel.

You will prepare detailed estimates from plans and specifications, lead cost takeoffs, and manage risk across self-perform heavy civil projects. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of heavy civil estimating experience, a relevant degree, and proficiency with Bid2Win and HCSS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering required.
• 10+ years estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience reading contracts, drawings, specs, scopes of work, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size, scope, and mix.
• Furnish quantity takeoffs and detailed material lists estimating total costs.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for operations.
• Prepare inquiries to clients regarding drawings, specs, and scopes of work.
• Collaborate with field and office teams to prepare each estimate.
• Meet milestones for constructability and productivity reviews for timely submission.
• Vet subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure comprehensive coverage.
