Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator for our Civil Construction Business Line. The successful candidate will prepare detailed self-perform estimates from plans, specs, and scopes of work, and coordinate with field teams to ensure accuracy.

Located for remote work in EST/CST, occasional travel may be required. A strong background in earthwork, utilities, and pavement estimates, plus Bid2Win or HCSS Bid software, is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering is required.
• Field experience in self-perform contracting of civil infrastructure scopes (earthwork, utilities, pavement).
• Experience estimating federal projects is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret contracts, drawings, specs, and schedules. Proficiency with CPM scheduling and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size, scope, and mix.
• Provide detailed quantity takeoffs and material lists to determine costs.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans with the project team.
• Collaborate with field and office professionals during estimate preparation.
• Support constructability reviews and meet submission deadlines.
