Job summary

Ladders in the United States is seeking an experienced Automated Test Engineer, Manager to lead and grow an automated testing function across application workflows and APIs, partnering with engineering and data teams to strengthen quality, support CI/CD, and guide a technical team in a fast-paced environment with exposure to AI-enabled capabilities and federal contract work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automated test suite development, preferably with Playwright and TypeScript
• 5+ years of experience writing and debugging test automation code in TypeScript or JavaScript
• Proficiency in writing Gherkin feature files and using Cucumber or similar BDD frameworks
• Experience deriving tests from requirements and documenting defects in an Agile environment
• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the Automated Test Team to improve coverage and identify risks early
• Extend and maintain the Playwright and Cucumber framework, recommending improvements as needed
• Design and maintain reusable automated tests for application workflows and APIs
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot unreliable tests
• Collaborate with data engineers to automate validation of data processes and ensure accuracy
