Aretum, Llc is seeking a QA Automation Test Engineer to support a federal government client. This role involves planning, developing, and maintaining manual and automated testing solutions ensuring quality, performance, accessibility, and reliability.

Remote work available with potential travel under 10% for project needs. Required: 8+ years in testing, 3+ years with automation tools (Playwright preferred), experience in automation frameworks, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Eight plus years of QA/testing experience with automation.
• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Three plus years using automation tools; Playwright preferred.
• Experience developing automation strategies and frameworks from ground up.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web apps, APIs, and integrated systems.
• Create and maintain test strategies, plans, and automation approaches to meet delivery objectives.
• Provide detailed defect descriptions, acceptance criteria, and steps in ticketing system.
• Build reusable automated test scripts and components to reduce repetitive testing.
• Design and support scalable automation frameworks for consistency across teams.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, end-to-end, and story validation tests.
