Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc is seeking a Lead Test Automation Engineer to join a team developing cloud-based medical software. You will design and implement automated test solutions using Playwright, TypeScript, and BDD (Given-When-Then), covering both UI and API testing, while guiding and mentoring the automation team.

You will contribute to manual test case design, ensure reliability and compliance, and collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA leads to embed quality throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in JavaScript-based test automation.
• Experience leading or mentoring teams.
• Proficient in Playwright, TypeScript and BDD.
• CI/CD familiarity with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts with Playwright and TS.
• Implement Given-When-Then BDD test cases to ensure clarity across teams.
• Automate end-to-end UI workflows and API testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
• Develop and execute manual test cases when required.
• Document test results and defects, and provide clear reporting to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA leads to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, advocating for testability and quality.
• Lead and mentor the test automation team, providing guidance on best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement of test automation strategy and processes.
