Job summary

GE Vernova in Boston, MA is seeking a Lead Application Engineer to drive the ITO phase with strong technical and economic insight. You will act as the primary technical contact, shaping proposals, costs, and schedules to deliver customer value.

You will guide multi-discipline teams, prepare specifications, and support the commercial team with technically sound and competitive bids. This role requires travel and a focus on achieving winning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in substation/electrical design, studies, specifications, estimating, and construction in power generation/distribution/transmission.
• Minimum 2 years of technical proposal writing and proposal management experience.
• Travel up to 20% (may include international travel).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical point person for the ITO phase, interfacing with the commercial team.
• Deliver high technical quality of GE proposals with cost-competitive solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications, quotes, and vendor responses with PMs & Sourcing.
• Develop cost estimates, BOMs, and installation/testing scopes.
