Job summary

CVS Health Corporation seeks a Lead Director to steer a high-performing actuarial team within CVS Health and Aetna’s government services group. You will drive pricing, projections, and strategic decisions for large fully-insured clients while guiding the unbundled population strategy.

You will influence senior leadership on rate and financial reviews, coordinate with underwriting, product, and sales teams, and translate regulatory developments into business insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years actuarial or healthcare analytics experience.
• ASA or FSA credential required.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management skills; ability to translate complex actuarial concepts for varied audiences.
• Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration leading to results.
• Experience influencing senior leadership and guiding strategic discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team responsible for pricing, projections, reporting, and actuarial support for large fully-insured clients and the broader portfolio.
• Provide strategic support for the growing unbundled population, including Medicare Advantage and PDP arrangements.
• Partner with Underwriting, Product, Sales, Account teams, and other stakeholders on large and complex opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior management on rate reviews and financial reviews for complex cases.
• Translate regulatory changes into actionable business implications for internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee studies for assumption setting and pricing model development to drive performance.
• Identify issues that could affect results and develop data-driven recommendations.
• Apply rigorous analysis and judgment to solve complex business problems.
• Drive project ownership, manage priorities, and ensure timely delivery.
• Mentor and develop team members to enhance capability and engagement.
