Job summary

CVS Health Corporation seeks a Lead Director for our government services actuarial team. You will apply deep analytical expertise and strategic leadership to pricing, projections, and complex business decisions, guiding a team serving large group clients and the broader portfolio.

You will partner with Underwriting, Product, Sales, and Account teams, translating regulatory developments into business implications and driving data-driven strategies across a remote, nationwide team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 8+ years actuarial or healthcare analytics experience.
• ASA or FSA credential required.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills, able to translate actuarial concepts for diverse audiences.
• Proven track record of driving results through cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to apply analytical rigor, sound judgment, and strategic thinking to complex challenges.
• Experience influencing stakeholders and presenting to senior leadership.
• Ability to lead projects, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work on deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team responsible for pricing, projections, reporting, and actuarial support for large fully-insured clients and the broader portfolio.
• Provide strategic support for unbundled population scenarios including Medicare Advantage and PDP.
• Partner with Underwriting, Product, Sales, and Account teams on large and complex opportunities and renewals.
• Collaborate with senior management on rate reviews and financial analyses for complex cases.
• Translate legislative and regulatory changes into clear business implications for stakeholders.
• Oversee studies used for assumption setting and pricing model development.
• Identify issues that could affect financial results and develop data-driven recommendations.
• Apply technical skills and judgment to solve complex business problems and deliver actionable solutions.
• Drive the team to prioritize and manage multiple projects across functions.
• Develop, coach, and mentor team members to strengthen capability and engagement.
