Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Layout Designer to provide CAD drafting and design support for complex facility and module layouts. You will guide projects through a ~14 month preconstruction lifecycle, focusing on composite and module design, floor plans, and coordination of architectural and engineering requirements for a smooth handoff.

You will collaborate with project management and stakeholders, participate in design reviews, and ensure all preconstruction documentation is complete and organized.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years hands-on AutoCAD experience in a professional design environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for floor plan layout and module design.
• Experience with Revit for design coordination and documentation.
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders on large projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide CAD drafting support for composite designs and revisions.
• Lead design reviews with stakeholders and capture detailed minutes.
• Create and modify module drawings based on redlines and changes.
• Maintain version control across all documents.
• Coordinate architectural and engineering specifications for building types.
• Develop construction schedules and cost estimates based on design information.
