Job summary

Frontmatec is seeking a skilled layout designer to create factory layouts using AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D, ensuring safety and efficiency. You will compile equipment lists for bids, integrate electrical components, and release designs to production via AX ERP.

The role requires collaboration with sales engineering, providing layout presentations, and occasional client visits in North America. Strong drafting skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with AutoCAD for 2D layouts and Inventor/Factory Design for 3D elevations.
• Ability to interpret 2D/3D drawings and convert into fabrication-ready plans.
• Experience creating bill of materials and parts lists for bids and production.

Responsibilities

• Design factory layouts meeting client requirements and safety standards to minimize costs and timelines.
• Create detailed 3D elevations using Inventor and Factory Design tools.
• Prepare parts lists (BOMs) for estimating and pricing.
• Integrate electrical components from the electrical department into designs.
• Release items to production using ERP AX.
• Provide detailed drawings for approval, integration, and installation.
• Lead meetings and support sales engineering with layout presentations.
• Perform occasional client site visits in North America.
