Job summary

Actalent seeks an Electrical Designer to develop comprehensive architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings while ensuring adherence to specifications. You will interpret bid letters, customer requirements, and supplied drawings to assemble complete design packages, performing standard calculations and generating BOMs alongside drawing production.

Qualifications

• Experience in a design/engineering environment using CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to translate bid letters and customer specs into complete design packages.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate calculations for design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings with high accuracy.
• Interpret bid letters and customer specs to develop coordinated design packages.
• Perform standard engineering calculations for AC service, HVAC, energy load, and structural needs.
• Develop work orders and Bills of Material alongside drawing production.
• Provide technical support to factory personnel, sales teams, and customers.
• Collaborate with design, factory, and sales teams to maintain design standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit, Word, and Excel for drawings and calculations.
• Contribute to process improvements in design and documentation practices.
• Occasionally travel to project sites or customer locations as needed.
