Orion Placement is seeking a senior litigation attorney to lead complex civil defense work with 100% remote collaboration across California. You will draft dispositive motions, conduct research, and partner with trial attorneys to shape case outcomes.

Must reside in California and hold an active CA Bar license. The role requires 4+ years of civil litigation experience and emphasizes persuasive writing, strategic thinking, and independent management of motion drafting.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting substantive motions (summary judgment, demurrers, discovery).
• Insurance defense or civil litigation defense experience preferred.

Location: Remote | California Statewide

Enjoy the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere in California while collaborating with a supportive and experienced litigation team. Our practice is based in Los Angeles, but qualified attorneys throughout California are encouraged to apply. Occasional court appearances may be required.

Note: Applicants must currently reside in California, hold an active California Bar license in good standing, and have 4+ years of civil litigation experience. Substantial experience drafting substantive motions, including motions for summary judgment, demurrers, or discovery motions, is required.

• 4+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Demonstrated experience drafting substantive motions, including summary judgment motions, demurrers, or discovery motions.
• Excellent legal research, persuasive writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex legal research and motion drafting responsibilities.
• Insurance defense or other civil litigation defense experience is preferred.
• Courtroom motion argument experience is a plus.
