Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a Land Survey Manager to support our growing Maryland team. This role leads both office-based and field survey operations, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and drone mapping, while mentoring staff and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will manage surveys from planning through completion, coordinating with clients and teammates to deliver precise data, uphold safety standards, and apply the latest technology in land surveying.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Surveying preferred.
• Must be eligible to obtain MD PLS license within 6 months of hire; MD PLS license already obtained, preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in professional surveying.
• Proficient in survey-related software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, and other survey software.
• Current FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot's License preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and conduct diverse surveys (Boundary, Topography, ALTA/NSPS, Construction Staking, Bathymetric, Drone Mapping).
• Plan, coordinate, and manage survey projects to completion within timelines and budgets.
• Communicate with coworkers and clients to understand needs, provide updates, and deliver high-quality service.
• Prepare, review, and interpret deeds, plats, and easements; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and train junior surveyors, fostering a collaborative team environment.
