Job summary

FlatironDragados in Maryland seeks a Project Survey Manager to lead survey teams across multi-site projects, providing technical input on standards and land mapping. You will supervise field crews, ensure accurate measurements and alignment with design instructions.

This role requires 5+ years’ surveying experience and a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with PLS preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills, plus a valid driver's license, are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in survey or land mapping.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geometrics or related field preferred.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) preferred. Valid Driver’s License.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Expert knowledge of land mapping and technical survey instrument techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provides work control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and installation.
• Ensures crews perform layout work competently and accurately.
• Checks as-built conditions using surveying techniques.
• Provides topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and payment quantities.
• Assists with quantity calculations as required.
• Monitors and maintains surveying equipment calibration.
• Coordinates survey activities with engineers and superintendents.
• Manages survey department resources and budget.
