Potomac Valley Surveys, a well-established land surveying and development consulting firm based in Poolesville, Maryland, seeks a Full-Time Survey Crew Chief to lead a field crew and oversee boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys.

You will operate GPS, total stations, levels, drones, and other equipment; mentor staff; ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with state regulations; and manage data processing and reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Survey Crew Chief or senior surveyor.
• Experience in boundary, topographic, construction stakeout, and ALTA surveys.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a survey crew in the field, ensuring high-quality work and professional development.
• Oversee and perform boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, construction stakeout, and as-built surveys.
• Operate and manage survey equipment (GPS, total stations, levels, drones, etc.).
• Collect, process, and verify field data and perform calculations.
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce safe work practices.
• Maintain calibration of equipment and company vehicles.
