Job summary

GRF, Focus Partners Business Management seeks a Manager, Label Administration to supervise royalty accounting analysts and oversee royalty client work. The role is fully remote with a preference for candidates in major markets.

You will ensure accurate royalty calculations, review revenue streams, and drive improvements in reporting processes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in music royalty accounting, experience supervising staff, and deep knowledge of leading royalty systems and Microsoft

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years senior-level music royalty experience at a major label, large independent label, or business management royalty department.
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing mechanical, artist, producer, third-party, joint venture, and net profit royalty accountings and agreements for master-side label clients.
• Experience supervising analysts or royalty accounting staff, including reviewing work, training team members, delegating tasks, and meeting deadlines.
• Advanced knowledge of royalty systems Curve, RoyaltyShare, RyteBox, Record Maestro, Infinite Catalogue, or similar platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to respond to royalty inquiries from clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preparation of mechanical, artist, producer, and net profit royalty accountings for label clients.
• Interpret and summarize royalty terms to assist analysts in software setup.
• Ensure accuracy of royalty rate calculations for artists, third parties, and joint ventures.
• Review distribution sales files and map to products and contracts in the royalty system.
• Quality assurance checks on statement drafts before delivery to clients.
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency of royalty reporting and processes.
• Handle high-level analysis and client-specific requests outside routine cycles.
