Job summary

GRF, Focus Partners Business Management is seeking a Manager, Label Administration with extensive experience in complex label royalty accounting. You will supervise Label Administration analysts and oversee royalty administration for label clients in a fully remote role with preferred locations in Los Angeles, NY, Nashville, or Toronto.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of senior music royalty experience at major or large independent labels, plus hands-on royalty accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years senior-level music royalty experience at a major label, large independent label, or business management royalty department.
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing various royalty accountings and agreements for master-side label clients.
• Experience supervising analysts or royalty accounting staff and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry royalty systems (Curve, RoyaltyShare, RyteBox, Record Maestro, Infinite Catalogue).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preparation of mechanical, artist, producer, and net profit royalty accountings for label clients.
• Interpret and summarize royalty terms to aid analysts in software setup.
• Ensure accuracy of royalty rate calculations for artists, third parties, and JV statements.
• Review distribution sales files and map to products and contracts in the royalty system.
• Review recoupable costs, net profit expenses, and advances for statements.
• Quality assurance checks for all statement drafts before delivery and finalization.
