Warner Music Group's Global Business Services (GBS) is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Financial who will own complex participation profit-share reporting for US labels and artist services, translating contracts into functional financial models and ensuring reporting accuracy under tight deadlines.

Based out of Nashville and fully remote for US team, the role emphasizes ownership, collaboration across accounting, royalty operations and label finance, and mentoring analysts while driving process

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel is crucial.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and how they apply to P&L, reconciliations, close processes and internal controls.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with ownership of work and ability to mentor peers.
• Ability to distill complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for management.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, analysis and review of complex participation profit-share and distribution financial statements.
• Prepare fiscal month-end close tasks, including true-ups, reconciliations and expense accruals.
• Act as a primary “Variance Detective” and quality gatekeeper for data fluctuations and narratives for management.
• Translate complex artist and label legal agreements into functional financial models.
• Compile and analyze large transaction data sets to support statements, budgets and cash forecasts.
• Investigate artist inquiries, data issues or audit claims to mitigate financial risk.
• Mentor analysts and facilitate training on Participations accounting processes.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with label finance, legal and senior executives.
• Drive automation initiatives and process improvements within the Participations group.
