Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP seeks a Knowledge Management Attorney – Real Estate to organize and develop KM content and resources for Real Estate, Construction, MFH, and Public Finance practice groups. You will lead technology adoption, create training materials, and drive efficiency by aligning KM with the firm’s strategic objectives.

The role requires a JD, 5+ years in a law firm, and deep knowledge of KM, legal research, and practice support.

Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Demonstrated experience with knowledge management tools and document management systems.

Responsibilities

Serve as embedded KM expert and liaison for assigned practice groups.
Own and lead the curation of knowledge artifacts in the firm’s KM database and other libraries.
Develop, implement, maintain, and assess KM strategies and systems for assigned groups.
Create, organize, and maintain model documents, forms, and precedents.
Capture and relay user feedback to improve KM tools and processes, including DMS and intranet.
Review materials to inform knowledge and practice through market trends and legal tech developments.
Identify gaps in the knowledge base and curate targeted attorney contributions.
Plan and execute KM innovation projects with ROI tracking and reporting.
Collaborate with KM leadership to evaluate and implement new technologies.
Champion technology adoption and change management across the firm KM program.
Coordinate with KM and AI Partners and Practice Management to identify needs.
Assist with lateral onboarding by introducing associates and partners to KM goals and resources.
Conduct knowledge succession planning and document key processes and workflows.
Develop training materials and deliver live demonstrations to drive adoption.
Evaluate training effectiveness and propose improvements.
Maintain strict confidentiality of firm, attorney, and client information.
