Job summary

LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Khana-English phone interpreter working remotely in the United States. You will interpret on-demand calls between Khana and English speakers, across healthcare, government, insurance and more, providing accurate, culturally aware interpretation without written translation.

As an independent contractor, you must maintain a quiet home office, meet technical requirements, and remain neutral and professional while handling potentially high-stress

Qualifications

• Fluency in Khana and English with cultural awareness.
• Ability to assess regional/accents for effective communication.
• Strong listening, retention and note-taking during interpretation.
• Remain neutral and professional on all calls, including sensitive topics.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to interpreting sessions in a friendly, professional manner.
• Render concepts accurately according to interpretation conventions.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation.
• Maintain professionalism and calm during sessions, including emergencies.
• Work from home in a quiet, secure environment and follow client instructions.
• Understand protocols across industries and handle emotionally charged calls.
