Job summary

Central Moloney seeks a strategic Key Account Manager to grow transformer business with data centers, renewables, BESS and C&I accounts across the United States. You will manage opportunities from early engagement to commercial award, collaborating with Inside Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Finance.

This role requires 5+ years in technical sales, a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, and the ability to build in-depth account plans, negotiate pricing, and deliver value-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or strategic account management.
• Experience in the datacenters or renewable energy markets is strongly preferred.
• Experience in distribution transformers or electrical distribution equipment is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle, EPC structures, and developer-driven sales models.
• Demonstrated ability to build new markets, influence specifications and secure preferred vendor positioning.

Responsibilities

• Market development and account ownership: develop and execute a growth plan for data centers, renewables, and C&I accounts.
• Identify target accounts, decision-makers, project timing, and competition.
• Build relationships with data center owners/operators, developers, EPCs, and channel partners.
• Pursue supplier qualification and engagement with procurement, engineering, and project teams.
• Identify transformer solutions within CMI’s capabilities and coordinate approvals.
• Lead commercial negotiations and close orders within delegated authority.
• Review contract requirements with Finance and designated approvers.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline in CRM and coordinate with Marketing.
